ABOUT US
Who We Are:
Association of Pentecostal Vocational Training Institutions of Kenya(APVOTIK) is a professional association for Church Ministers and Theological Institutions registered in 2022, Registration Number 54540. under the Societies Act, Cap 108 of the Laws of Kenya. Our membership includes vocational training centers, Bible colleges, and theological institutions dedicated to holistic theological education, high occupational standards, and lifelong Christian ministry training.
APVOTIK serves as a platform for networking, resource sharing, and joint development initiatives. We also work alongside like-minded organizations and relevant government agencies to ensure inclusivity and compliance with national educational frameworks. The organization’s structure employs a
hierarchy that consists of national, regional, county, and sub-county levels. Each level has management committees responsible for
coordination and reporting. The structure supports decentralization and inclusivity across Kenya’s 47 counties and diaspora members.
We are committed to;
- Promoting sound Pentecostal doctrine.
- Fostering collaboration among member institutions.
- Encouraging ethical leadership and moral integrity.
- Developing competent Christian ministers and leaders who can positively transform society.

APVOTIK Parliament Petition Bill-2025
The absence of a centralized regulatory body for theological education has led to—
- Erosion of credibility among theological institutions due to lack of standardized curricula and questionable accreditation of institutions;
- Difficulty in transferring academic credits between institutions due to doctrinal confusion and pastoral unpreparedness.
- Mistrust of graduates’ qualifications by churches and employers; and
- Fragmentation within the global church due to theological inconsistency.
APVOTIK has taken a cue and petitioned the Parliament to enact a law to establish the theological education council with legal mandate as a regulatory authority for theological education in Kenya in the Proposed Theological Education BILL 2025 for the establishment and operation of theological education in Kenya, to regulate theological education within Christian community.
